Just another day without her brother by her side, something new. Aurora was completely alone, there were no faded scents or even the sight of any bird of prey. 'Why can't my brother be here?' Aurora asked herself, as if she already didn't know the answer. Aurora wanted to be independent and she tried to power through the loneliness; This place was completely empty of any wonder or other animals, but there was no "rabbit" to have led her here. This place let Aurora think and frolic in her mind, she wondered in her endless forest that kept going and if you reached the end you would loop around. But in reality, this was just another part of the desert.
She would like someone to talk to, but she would like for someone to listen to her words. No one could sit through her long biography's on her own mind, and if they could they couldn't relate to a thing she was saying. Aurora wanted her brother here right now, so she would have someone to socialize with and someone to relate to. But unfortunately we don't always get what we want, now do we? What was this devastation that so lead every single event and pained all sinews of all hearts? Orestes kept walking. He didn't stop, there was no point in stopping, just as there was no point in going. He had failed. Oh, noble knights, he was nothing. He was lost somewhere amidst the vast emptiness of the Kalahari desert, and he had lost his family. It was his job to help lead that family. And he lost them? What kind of leader was that?
Orestes finally stopped for a moment, but only to shake his skull in shame and despair. As he pulled his head up with his waning strength, he inhaled sharply and moved his feet again. He would redeem himself somehow. He wouldn't die alone and cold and without a name. He couldn't die now. Wouldn't.
Within the world of his head and his thoughts, Orestes nearly passed over a something with his eyes. He stopped. Though his eyes were bad, he could make out a moving form. The meerkat blinked is eyes in surprise, it seemed that the form was indeed another meerkat. But with the not quite sharp nature of meerkat eyes, they could possibly lead to foils in some demise. He put his nose to use, and the smell of meerkat confirmed his suspicions.
A giddy excitement rose in his furs and tingled up his spine. He wasn't alone. Maybe this was his family? Just maybe?
He walked forward with no hesitation. "Hello?"

"Hello?"
A voice came to her ears. It spooked her for a second, she didn't expect anyone here. On reflex, Aurora turned her head to the voice that sounded purely Meerkat. The sight of this husky 'kat almost made her jump in slight shock! Once she had identified this Meerkat correctly, she was able to ease her tensed muscles. The female 'kat tilted her head for second, so many thoughts came flooding in. This male looked just like her brother, she would have ran off if it was but the voice tone was just a bit off. "Hello." Was all she could say, she didn't know this kat's intentions or.. Heck, she didn't know him at all! All Aurora could currently do was wait for a response.
Apart from the moment this male had just created for Aurora, she want to make sure he would trick her into he being attacked or anything. These days it's almost as if you can't trust anyone anymore, with the conflict that's going on. To observe this male, he was far to large to be a loner so he must be from a mob. Maybe this was mob territory she didn't know about, maybe he had back up with him, or.. Maybe he was just by himself, Aurora hoped it was the last thought. One thing was determined for her, she didn't want to be the little shy girl that she use to be with her brother around. This time Aurora would stand up for herself, and fight if needed.
