NEVSKY LONER
NAME: Nevsky GENDER: male AGE: one year BIRTHDAY: march 20th, 2010 FAMILY: none
MOB: RANK:
PERSONALITY:Outgoing in all essence, this meerkat is a young, playful male who happens to be a juvenile at heart. He has a bright outlook on life, a sort of the show must go on outlook. A playful spirit and a sense of adventure are inscribed in his bones as the very fabric of his being. However, he can be serious when the time calls for it, but does forget to solemn up on occasions. Nevsky seems moments where laughter and jokes can't be made as a waste of time, and is often quick to use humor to worm out of serious situations. His clownish personality seems to serve testament to his lack of maturity, but it doesn't bother him. He'd much rather live life than just live life. Nevsky is an adventurer, simply put. If there's prospect for adventure, he's the first 'kat to make his way to find it. Life is thrilling, and Nevsky lives for these thrills, whether it be running from a bird or prey, taking on the brutal Kalahari, or taking down the enemy. A socialman and recluse at the same time, Nevsky's got no problem running solo and no problem running with allies. But he does have a problem running with a mob. There was a reason he set out to become a rover, and that reason was a slice of adventure and a side of freedom. Large crowds press on his comfort levels, as he'd much rather run with a couple of close friends. Rover coalitions feel just like home to this meerkat, a small, tight-knit group with plenty of stories to tell and a mission to chase.
APPEARANCE:Tawny tan fur covers the muscled body of this 'kat. Average color in general, Nevsky doesn't stand out from a crowd because of his appearance. White masks his muzzle and around his eyes and jaw, and runs down the front of his neck. With the black rings around his eyes that all meerkats bear, the white patches seem almost like large, circular eyebrows. Along his spine are the characteristic splotchy stripes of meerkats. The stripes are long and bold, and look almost as if someone spilled mocha ink on pale red-brown sand. The tip of his tail is too marked by the deep brown. An accent to his body, the mocha brown is also seen on one last part of the 'kat, his eyes. Round, and attentive, they're the eyes with the curiosity of a pup experiencing the world for the first time.
PAST: Born to the daughter of the dominant, Nevsky didn't particularly have the best head start on life. However, his grandmother was a generous female, and allowed Nevsky's mother to raise her pups alongside the dominant's own. Nevsky considered his grandmother's litter to be his own siblings, and grew close to them as well as his own siblings. The group of rowdy pups had a majority of males. They would frequently ask for the older males to recount their roving expeditions. The intrigue gripped Nevsky the tightest, and he dreamed of the day he would come of age and leave to weave his own adventure. But before he could quite get there, devastation swept through the desert. Of course, it wasn't quite a tragic disaster, but a thrilling adventure that had a few downsides. With his two closest brothers, Nevsky had set out on his first roving trip. Excited and bubbling with anticipation, the band realized things weren't going so smoothly. The smell of fire reached the and threw them into panic. While Nevsky wanted to get a better look at the peculiar thing, the bright sun on the sand, his brothers ran. The three became severed, and Nevsky realized the danger all too late. His brothers were quickly out of sight, and it seemed that they were gone for good. Nevsky leaped from his tree and made a dash for it. He managed to survive the fire, waiting it out in a bolt hole. When he rose the following morning, ashes covered the Kalahari, and a smile spread across his face. Despite the loss in his heart, the hole that his brothers had once filled, there was adventure out there. And it was closer than ever.
